Best known for providing practical processes that propel business performance, he is the author of the books, ACCELERATE: 20 Practical Lessons to Boost Business Momentum (2007), a #4 Business Bestseller for Barnes and Noble, and Corporate Catalysts: How to Make Your Company More Successful, Whatever Your Title, Income, or Authority (2005), which was translated both for China and India. These books have been used in executive education programs at Toyota, Marriott, McDonald's, Boeing, Ronald McDonald House Charities, National Quality Review, and ABA.

Quoted in USA Today, the New York Times, Investor's Business Daily, The Journal of the American Management Association, and dozens of other publications, Dan Coughlin has written articles that have been published in more than 100 trade association publications.

Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a Master's Degree in arts and teaching from Webster University. He has served as an adjunct professor on entrepreneurship and business for St. Louis University and Webster University. He lives in St. Louis, MO with his wife, Barb, and their children, Sarah and Ben.
